I have been running Bianca Byggmästar Design Studio and providing design services since 2013. An interior architect SIO, I started working with clients on interior projects while still finishing my MA in Creative Sustainability from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland. Working alongside beautiful fabrics and materials inspired me to also study textile design, and I completed my degree in 2024 at the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki. My other studies include a degree in interior design from Milwaukee, WI, USA and architecture studies in Berlin, Germany.
My studio now offers textile and pattern design services as well as interior design consultations. I see my style as colourful with a touch of sophistication. I have a hands-on approach to design, which means that I often like to do practical tasks in my projects. I enjoy reupholstering and fixing furniture, as well as sewing interior textiles for my clients. As a textile and pattern designer, I hand draw and paint all of my patterns and I provide production ready digital files. My patterns are suitable for all applications: wallpaper and bedding, upholstery and curtains, paper goods and more. I also like to weave and knit using organic and natural materials and I sell my products in shops and at markets.
I regularly exhibit at international fairs to showcase and sell my patterns, such as Heimtextil in Frankfurt, Germany, and Maison et Objet in Paris, France. Come meet me there to see my collection, or contact me for an online presentation.
